GraphTally: the payment rail of The Graph
We designed the Timeline Aggregation Protocol, now GraphTally, the micropayment system integrated into The Graph's core protocol. It moves pay-per-query payments between gateways and indexers using trust-minimized payment channels: signed receipts aggregate into vouchers that settle on-chain for around a cent and a half, where naive transfers would cost an active indexer tens of thousands of dollars a day. It is live. It is open source. It works.
Core developer of The Graph
In December 2021, The Graph Foundation awarded Semiotic a $60 million grant over eight years to join the protocol as a core developer. Our contributions include AutoAgora, reinforcement-learning-based query pricing that spans four orders of magnitude in computational cost, and Veemon, Rust-based verification of blockchain data.
